Digitization of Price Collection of Asian Art

The Amarillo Museum of Art completed digitization photography for AMoA’s Price Collection of Asian Art catalogue. MIDEA funding supported high-resolution digital documentation of all 300-plus works and transfer to DVD’s. The works are a significant component of AMoA’s permanent holdings and include Edo period Japanese woodblock prints, important Hindu and Buddhist sculptures from India, Cambodia, Nepal and Indonesia;  and textiles representing Turkey, Afghanistan, Iran, Spain, and Tibet. The resultant images were used for producing two publications: an online collection catalogue and an 80-page print publication accompanied by the DVD. The Museum web page was also expanded to include a presentation of featured works.
