A/V: Artistic Voices

The Dallas Museum of Art conceived a two-part educational media project to digitize original material held by the museum for sharing with educational audiences. Aligned with the museum’s technology and business model (The Arts Network) and its educational mission, A/V: Artistic Voices adds digital audio to the Museum’s web-based media library. This library can be freely accessed and shared through applications like Pachyderm with other museums, arts organizations, and schools across the state. One hundred archival audio tapes were digitized and edited, along with more recent digital audio files. Of these, fifty clips were made available for the online library, delivering the voices of artists, curators, scholars, and collectors to educational institutions statewide.
