Motivating Participation

You’ve opened a new wing where people can make their own exhibits from your collection. You’ve started a blog to invite visitors to debate the themes of upcoming programs. You’ve launched a wiki where people can share their favorite art experiences in your museum. So where is everyone?
In this interactive session, Nina Simon will share insights on what motivates people to participate with cultural institutions. Drawing on international examples from museums, libraries, games, and retail, Nina will provide both a theoretical basis and practical tips you can use in your next project.
